Die versunkene Stadt
The sunken City

I'm sorry, but not all pages are translated correctly into English.

Songs of a sunk city sing those to fishermen at the sea.
None white like everything at that time real was, it is already so for a long time ago.
Those sit in the evening the fishermans at the beach attach the nets with safe hand
and they sing all of the sunk city from that it all belongs.
The sunk city gives reluctantly its secrets to price.
But some at the reason the lake was it swear that the city allways and ever was there.

One saw the church tower of far heard even the storm bells ring.
And one felt that one near still none ever saw,
because nevertheless the sunk city of everything carried forward.
Thus it lives away the sunk city - strangely enticing and beautiful.
It lives in songs which one on it sings has it also none seen...

And sometime if happens a miracle, it dives maybe again on.

One of the biggest legends and secrets of the world is the existence of the lost town of Atlantis. Many think, this mysterious town is nothing more than imagination, but if the writings of Plato are precise, the town sank in the sea namely by 9000 BC. This mysterious town was, as announced, a fanciful society with incredibly advanced technology. The most popular theory is that Atlantis lies now with the underside of the sea somewhere in the triangle of Bermudas. Actually, some people believe that the town is the cause of the mysterious events which take place in this area.

Atlantis is a mythical island empire, antique greek philosopher Platon (from the 428/427 to the 348/347 B.C.) when first mentioned and described. when first mentioned and described. It was a maritime power, according to Platon outgoing from theirs ' beyond the columns of the Herakles' has subjected situated main island big parts of Europe and Africa. After in the end, to a failed attack on Athens Atlantis is around 9600 B.C. as a result of a physical disaster within ' one single day and a misfortune-blessed were growing dark set. With Atlantis it concerns around one in Platon's work one laid history, – immediately to remaining myths Platons – a before put up theory should clearly explain. The background of this history is controversial. While old historians and philologists go out predominantly from an invention Platons which was inspired by contemporary models, some authors suppose a real background of the history and undertook countless attempts, Atlantis to localize.

Already in the antiquity a possible existence was discussed by Atlantis. While authors denied like Plinius, that it the doubtful island empire has given, others, for instance, crane gate, Poseidonios or Strabon, the existence held for conceivable. Also them to the first parodies of the subject already originated in the antiquity. In the Middle Ages the myth Atlantis fell into oblivion more or less, until he was rediscovered, in the end, in the Renaissance and was spread. Platon's portrayals inspired the fanciful works of different early-modern authors, as for example Francis Bacon's novelties Atlantis. Platon describes the island Atlantis in his about 360 B.C. written dialogs Timaios and Kritias. The Kritias remained incomplete. In these works the author lets both politicians Kritias and Hermokrates as well as philosophers Sokrates and Timaios meet and discuss. Even if it concerns, besides, historical persons (although only the first three are covered), are fictional to them of Platon to ascribed conversations. Socratic dialog is used here as a figure of speech and should provide Platon's teaching statements by the fact persuasive that the doctrines are given not dogmatically, but are developed with the eyes of the reader dialectically. While the subject Atlantis is only briefly torn in the Timaios, a detailed description of the island empire follows in the Kritias.
