Dornröschen - Sleeping Beauty
Letzter Teil - Last Part.

Endlich war es soweit. Dornröschens feierte ihren 15. Geburtstag.

At last it was so far. Of Sleeping Beauty celebrated her 15th birthday. High-spirited and happily came down it the stair and was presented by its father proudly to the society.

Of course Sleeping Beauty's 15th birthday was celebrated duly which it could experience this time consciously. After the celebration, when the loaded guests had gone again, the king reminded the court master of ceremonies urgently that he should pay attention very much, so that his daughter would not rise in the forbidden tower. Besides, the king did not roof that his daughter sat with at the table and listened with.

"Guten Tag, altes Mütterchen", sprach die Königstochter, "was machst du da?"

During the day, however, when the king's daughter became just fifteen years old, went the king and the queen after the birthday celebration to another royal couple and the girl stayed behind completely only in the castle. It walked around everywhere, looked in the rooms and chambers how it had, desire, and at last came also to an old tower. The close spiral stair rose up and got to a small door. In the castle a rusted key and when put it him turned round, jumped up the door and there an old wife with a spindle sat in a small chamber and stretch diligently their flax. " Good afternoon, old mother ", there spoke the king's daughter, "what you do there?"

...If an old Spindlerin finds there. " What you do here? ", it asked the old person. " I spin ", answered the old wife and noded the head. "Oh", answered Sleeping Beauties, " this I would also like to try once ". " Only to ", said the old person and left Sleeping Beauty their place...

" I spin ", answered the old person and noded the head. " What is for a thing which jumps there so funnily around? ", spoke the girl, took the spindle and wanted to spin also. However, hardly it had touched the spindle, there the charm came true, and it pricked itself with it in the finger. In one moment where it felt the stitch, it fell down on the bed, this stood there and slept deeply.

And this sleep covered the whole castle. The king and the queen who had just come home and had stepped in the hall, caught in to fall asleep and the whole royal suite with them. There the horses also slept in the stable, the dogs in the court, the deaf on the roof, the flies in the wall, even the fire which flickered on the cooker, became quiet and fell asleep and the roast heard on to sizzle, and the cook, he wanted to pull the apprentice cook because he had provided something, in the hair, let go him and slept. And the wind lay down, and on the trees before the castle no more lamella stirred...

However, all around the castle a thorn hedge began to grow which became every year higher and changed clothes, finally, the whole castle and about that point hinauswuchs, so that nothing at all more was to be seen of it, even dre flag on the roof not. However, in the country the legend of the beautiful, sleeping Sleeping Beauty handled, because the king's daughter was named. From time to time came king's sons who wanted to penetrate by the rears into the castle. But none of them succeeded in coming by the enormous and impenetrable rears. After long, long years a king's son came one more time to the country and heard how an old man of the thorn hedge told, a castle should stay in which a beautiful king's daughter, Sleeping Beauties named, already since hundred years sleeped and with her slept the king and the queen and the whole royal suite. He also knew about his grandfather that already many king's sons would have come and would have tried to penetrate by the thorn hedge, but they would have got stuck in it and would have died a sad death.

There spoke the youth: " I am not afraid, I want out and the beautiful Sleeping Beauty see. " The good old person advised him, but the king's son did not want to hear on him. However, now just hundred years had passed, and the day had come in which Sleeping Beauty should awake again. When the king's son approached the thorn hedge, these were louder big beautiful flowers from the terrible thorns blossomed. The rears did sicn automatically separated and left him undisturbed through and behind him she did to herself again together. In the castle court he saw the horses and the blotchy hunting dogs lying and sleep. On the roof the deaf and natten the brains sat under the wings put. And when he came to the house, the flies slept in the wall, the cook in the kitchen still held the hand, as if he wanted to seize the apprentice cook, and the maid sat before the black chicken which should be plucked. There he went on and saw in the hall the whole royal suite lying and sleep, and at the top with the throne lay the king and the queen.

Farther it drove the prince by the castle, because he wanted to find Sleeping Beauty. By floors and doors he went, since he had found the stairway to the tower.

There he went still on and everything was so quiet that he could hear his breath, and at last he came to the tower and opened the small door to the fine room in which Sleeping Beauty slept . It lay and was so beautiful that he could not turn away the eyes, and he bent over and gave him a kiss. How he had touched it with the kiss, Sleeping Beauty broke the eyes, awoke and looked him completely friendly. There they went down together, and the king awoke and the queen and the whole royal suite and all considered each other with big eyes. And the horses in the court got up and shook themselves, the hunting dogs jumped up and waved, the deaf on the roof pulled out the brains under the wings, saw around and flew in the field, the flies in the walls crawled farther, the fire in the kitchen rose, flickered and cooked dinner, the roast caught again in to sizzle, and the cook gave to the apprentice cook a slap that he shouted, and the maid plucked the chicken finishedly. Soon afterwards the king let to his daughter and the king's son align a magnificent wedding. This was celebrated in all glory and they lived happily and amuses till her end.
